I have been asked a number of times, why are you doing this.
 

Well to put it simply, it’s the people. I find that military and ex-service personnel are just good people. Whatever the reason for joining we have to admit that our time in the military has had a profound effect on our lives. Even if you don’t want to admit it, you the person that put on the uniform has proven that you are willing to stand in the way of anyone that would hurt your family or your nation. By doing that you have defended people you will never meet or know.

They however live in a free country because of you, one of the very few who stood up and were counted. We have all given something to this country and some are still feeling the pain. We don’t leave our people behind and we should never let the system do that as well.

I believe that we have earned our right to have our voice heard. We are the reason that Australia is secure and yet we are not at the table having a say on how this country should operate and how its defenders are treated.I believe we need a representative in parliament, elected by us to represent our side of the story.
